Richard Sandler is a documentary film and video-maker, and a still photographer. His videos and films are, “The Gods of Times Square,” (1999), Brave New York,” (2004), “SWAY,” (2006), “Subway to the Former East Village, (2007), “The Rocks of Eternity: Conversations With Satish Kumar, (2007), “AKA Martha’s Vineyard, (short, 2010), and Radioactive City, (2011).
Sandler is currently editing “AKA Martha’s Vineyard” into a feature documentary.
Sandler was awarded a John Simon Guggenheim fellowship for filmmaking in 2006, and two New York Foundation for the Arts fellowships in photography,
in 1992 and 1998.
